Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and functionality for both back-end and front-end development.
- Establish and guide website architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability.
- Integrate and customize WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conduct website performance tests and troubleshoot content issues.
- Collaborate with members of a creative team to consistently improve functionality and user-friendliness of web applications.
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferable code.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
- Assist in ensuring high security and accessibility standards are met.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial).
- Strong understanding of WordPress, its codebase, and its community.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
