Overview of Quality Assurance Tester in Ghent
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Tester to join a dynamic team in Ghent on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring that software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs and glitches.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that software products meet quality standards by conducting both manual and automated tests, analyzing the results, and reporting to the development team.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously update test scripts and frameworks based on changing requirements and feedback from the development team.

Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to understand the product specifications and to ensure the functionality meets user expectations.

Problem-Solving: Identify, analyze, and report product defects. Propose and help implement solutions to improve overall product quality.

Documentation: Maintain clear and concise QA documentation, including test reports, defect logs, and QA process updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
